ALBUQUERQUE, NM -- The Arizona State University volleyball team has never lost to the University of New Mexico in its 28-year history, and Friday was no different as the Sun Devils easily handed the Lobos a 15-9, 15-9, 15-3 loss in the second match of the Clubhouse Inn Invitational.

After suffering a tough 3-2 setback to rival Arizona on Wednesday, the Sun Devils got back on the winning track to improve their season record to 6-3. Despite Wednesday's loss, ASU has won five of its last six matches. The Sun Devils are now 14-0 in the program's career vs. UNM.

Senior outside hitter Amanda Burbridge (Scottsdale) led the Sun Devils with 13 kills and added 12 digs. Burbridge is now only 43 kills of the seventh spot in the ASU career record book. Sophomore middle blocker Julia Leddy (Mesa) turned in another excellent match by recording 12 kills in 18 opportunities and hit a team-high .611 (12-1-18) for the night.

Junior Jami Coughlin (Glendale) added 10 kills to help lead ASU to the convincing win and freshman setter Cheryl Anglin (Queen Creek) had 43 assists.

ASU will return to action Saturday with a pair of matches to conclude the 2000 Clubhouse Inn Invitational.
