Micky Benedetti Named Pac-10 Diver of the Month

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - ARIZONA STATE diver Micky Benedetti have been named Pac-10 Diver of the Month for February, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Benedetti, a junior from Rome, Italy, became the first Sun Devil and eighth Pac-10 diver to sweep the diving events at the Pac-10 Championships. Benedetti, who was last year's NCAA runner-up on the platform, broke the Pac-10 and ASU record on the platform to defend his title with a score of 434.70. He also took home the 3M title for the second consecutive year with a score of 398.85. He also won the 1M with a score of 366.20. For these accomplishments, Benedetti was named Diver of the Meet.

This is the fifth monthly honor for Benedetti and Arizona State's eighth men's Diver of the Month all-time.
