TEMPE, Ariz. – The Arizona State swimming team looks to continue its impressive performance in the Pac-12 Championships as the men take their turn in Federal Way, Wash. Beginning March 3 and continuing through March 6, the Sun Devil men’s swim squad will compete in their respective championship events at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.

The men’s team finished seventh overall last year in the 2012 Pac-12 Championships, anchored by NCAA consideration times in all relay teams as well as multiple B-cuts in individual events. Distance swimmer Hayden Thomas and fly/IM swimmer JH Vivadelli led the Sun Devils.

This season, Arizona State looks to win a championship in an event for the first time since 2008, when CJ Nuess took home the gold in the 1650-yard freestyle. The Devils return many of their swimmers from last year’s championships to the pool in Federal Way, including Thomas, David Adalsteinsson, Alex Palumbo and Herbie Behm, all of who qualified for finals in their respective events in 2012.
