TEMPE, Ariz. - Bobby Lazor scored a game-high 19 points, including two free throws with 25 seconds remaining, as Arizona State beat California 69-66 Thursday night.

Eddie House and Mike Batiste added 14 points apiece for the Sun Devils (12-8, 4-4 Pac-10), who have now defeated the Golden Bears (12-6, 3-5) nine consecutive times in Tempe.

Arizona State is 18-3 at home against California since joining the Pac-10 in 1978.

Geno Carlisle had 18 points to lead the Golden Bears, who have lost four of their last six games. Thomas Kilgore finished with 15 and Carl Boyd 14.

Boyd's two free throws with 6:09 remaining gave California its last lead at 57-56.

But House sank a 3-pointer and Lazor added two foul shots to key a 9-2 run that put the Sun Devils ahead 65-59 with 2:06 left.

It was 67-63 after two more free throws by Lazor with 25 seconds showing.

Carlisle pulled the Golden Bears within 67-66 on a 3-pointer with 6.1 second left only to see House make two free throws with 3.8 seconds remaining to seal Arizona State's victory.

California led 35-31 at halftime on the strength of a late 14-3 run with Kilgore and Sen Lampley combining for nine of the points.
