Arizona State - 2005 Outdoor: Competed in the shot put, discus and hammer...had a career day at the ASU Invitational, placing sixth in the shot put with a personal best heave of 16.21m (52-05.50) after setting his mark in the hammer at 50.21m (164-09) to finish 14th...set his personal best of 48.65m (159-07) to finish fourth at the Mesa Classic in the discus... 2005 Indoor: Competed in both the shot put and weight throw twice...finished fourth at the Double Dual in the shot put (15.43m/50-07.50) to set his personal best...also recorded his personal best in the weight toss at the same meet, finishing fifth with a toss of 15.34m (50-04.00).
UTEP: Did not compete in his one season with the Miners.
High School: A 2003 graduate of Coronado High School (El Paso)...in the field, won a pair of district championships in the shot put and discus...earned all-district (twice) and all-city (once) in track and field...also a member of the football team...selected all-district (four times) and all-city (twice) on the gridiron...member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society...captained the track and field and football teams twice each...earned four letters each in track and field, football, wrestling and basketball.
