National championships will be on the line in Eugene, Ore., this weekend as the Sun Devil track and field team wraps up the 2012-13 ASU competition calendar.
Arizona State will welcome 12 teams to Tempe for the ASU Invitational this weekend.
Arizona State: 2012 Outdoor: Qualified for the NCAA Division I West Preliminaries... placed 12th at the Pac-12 Championships with a throw of 58.70m (192-07)... set a career high of 63.92m (209-08) for a second place finish at the Tri-Meet...2011 Outdoor: Placed ninth at the PAC-10 Championships in the javelin with a 197-10 (60.30m) throw... threw a season's best 201-06 (61.42m) at the Arizona State Invitational...2010 Outdoor: Qualified for the NCAA Preliminary Round - West meet with a toss of 203-8 (62.08m) to win the javelin at the Double Dual... placed 10th in the javelin at the Pac-10 Championships with a 60m throw or better for the second meet in a row (198-1/60.39m)... improved his career-best mark the first three meets of the year and in four of the seven meets he entered... 2010 Indoor: Did not compete indoors.
High School: A 2009 graduate of Morris Hills High School (Rockaway, N.J.)... lettered four times in outdoor track & field, four times in indoor track & field and two in football... earned all-state in track & field in 2008 and 2009... also was selected all-conference in both years and all-county in track & field in 2009... holds the school record in the shot put (55-3) and javelin (182-11)... played in the state football championship game at Giants Stadium
