Caitlin Andrew Advances to 100 Fly and 100 back Finals, Beckberger advances in 200 free

LONG BEACH, Calif. -

As Friday's preliminary rounds concluded at the 2007 Pacific-10 Conference Women's Swimming Championships in , ,  Caitlin Andrew earned an automatic NCAA Championships appearance, advancing to the 100 fly and 100 back finals rounds, while sophomore Jen Beckberger advanced to the finals round in the 200 free.

Continuing her phenomenal week at the Pac-10 Championships, Andrew finished the preliminary round of the 100 fly in 52.85, which earns her an automatic appearance in the event at the 2007 NCAA Championships.  Andrew also advances to the finals round in the 100 back with an additional automatic NCAA Championship berth time of 54.12, placing her in the event's finals round.

 

 

Andrew and Beckberger will compete to add Pac-10 Conference Championships in the 100 fly, 100 back and 200 free, respectively, to their already impressive career resumes. The final rounds in the 400 IM, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, 400 medley relay and 100 butterfly will begin on Friday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m., PST.
