TEMPE, Ariz. (www.thesundevils.com) -- Arizona State University men and women's swimming will compete in the Texas Invitational hosted by the University of Texas at Austin Dec. 1-3. ASU men and women's diving will travel to Columbus, Ohio, for the Buckeye Swimming and Diving Invitational hosted by Ohio State University Dec. 1-3. Competition begins Thursday at 9 a.m. MST at the Texas Invitational and 12 p.m. MST for the diving events at the Buckeye Swimming and Diving Invitational.
Last season at the Texas Invitational the men placed seventh scoring 322 points, just one point behind Wisconsin for sixth place, and the women finished fourth with 521 points. The women tallied 12 NCAA consideration times and the men recorded five at the Texas Invitational last season.
Coming off a record-setting performance against USC, senior Joona Puhakka (Helsinki, Finland) and ASU diving will compete in the Buckeye Invitational with 11 other teams. Last season, Sun Devils diving did not compete in the Buckeye Invitational.
