INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Arizona State University swimming teams were represented by freshman Caitlin Andrew and former Sun Devil Nick Brunelli in two events on the second day of competition at the 2005 World Long Course Championship Trials held at the IU Natatorium. The trials run through Wednesday, April 6.
Andrew, who finished 10th in the 100 butterfly Friday at the World Championship Trials, swam into 39th in the 100 backstroke Saturday with a time of 1:06.29. Brunelli, who won Gold for the U.S. at the 2005 Short Course World Championships held last October, competed in the 200 freestyle event Saturday taking 26th with a time of 1:52.77.
The 2005 World Long Course Championship Trials continue Sunday with the women's 100 breaststroke, men's 100 butterfly, women's 50 freestyle, women's 400 IM and the men's 50 freestyle.
